I installed Stratiform https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/stratiform/ so I might play with my buttons. But the first thing it did was mess with ColorfulTabs (changed my colors), so I promptly removed it. But it did do something I DO like, and that was add an 'outline' to the focused tab, which makes it more visible against a multicolor theme.
And as I, too, use Tab Mix Plus, the outline 'tracks' when one has 'Progress meter on tabs' enabled, making the meter quite visible. Very nice effect.
Would you might consider it?
And I'd like to add my voice of support to Moonbeam's wishes. All excellent ideas, as Mr. Sharma said, and lovely that he is planning to implement.
I, too, have used CT for years, and will not do without it. I dumped Firefox in favor of Pale Moon when FX decided to put 'tabs on top'--just screws up the whole point of ColorfulTabs, IMO.
