You probably are aware of this, but I really would like it back! Any idea of when you might be able to update it?
November 14, 2017 at 7:02 pm #19961Anabella PellensParticipanti have just updated Firefox and already wish I hadn't. The first thing I noticed was that ColorfulTabs were missing. I am assuming you will be updating but, how will we know you have? Should we check or will it be automatic?
Thank you for making my screen so much more interesting all these years!!November 15, 2017 at 12:37 am #19962looknseeParticipantMe, too.
November 15, 2017 at 12:54 am #19963Patricia Marrone-AlvarezParticipantOh, yes, yes, yes. PLEASE update your wonderful ColorfulTabs! I am in the same bind by updating Firefox 🙁 I wonder if I can go back to an older version? I NEED my ColorfulTabs back! I even donated way back...that's how much I appreciate your add-on.
While I'm at it, I might as well ask for the one thing I do miss from older versions...being able to color the "active" tab a color of my choice. Would love to have that option back. Thank you!November 15, 2017 at 9:42 pm #19964Rómulo GuadalupeParticipantI do love your Colorful Tabs add on for Firefox!
Please, update it for Quantum.
Thank you and regardsNovember 16, 2017 at 8:29 am #19966Shivanand SharmaKeymasterCurrently Firefox Quantum (Firefox 57 and upwards) has no provision to allow for styling of tabs. The same is being tracked in Bug 1320585
The Mozilla team has decided to not work on this feature. Meanwhile I'm trying to find a way to get it working in the latest Firefox. While this is sorted out, you may want to use the Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR) version from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/faq/
I've just released it for Chrome though https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/colorfultabs-for-chrome/fageloggidhmmlofkpibpmngbimkmhdb.
November 16, 2017 at 9:21 am #19977sukki000ParticipantMuch as I hate Chrome, I've been using it since yesterday, when I found FF updated and Colorful Tabs gone. I just added it to Chrome, but can't figure out how to use it. Unlike with FF, when I right-click on a tab I don't see any mention of Colorful Tabs, even after closing and reopening the Chrome browser.
November 16, 2017 at 9:24 am #19978sukki000ParticipantAddendum: I noticed the gold star that had been placed on the toolbar. When I click on that, I see every tab opened, and they are all colored! But it is in a little box, with no means of making it screen-sized. Help, please!
November 16, 2017 at 9:40 am #19979Shivanand SharmaKeymasterSukki: Chrome doesn't allow for large popups Max width and height is 800px by 600px I think. And remember this is a quick version that I built in two days working 18 hours.
I did make sure that it pulls up the active tab, colors all tabs based on domain names, allow you to close the unnecessary ones and scroll left and right. I've been in pain for months since I started using Chrome. Now I can access and use all tabs. I'll upload a demo video soon.
November 16, 2017 at 10:09 am #19980Rochelle FerrettParticipantOuch. I fully agree with everyone. I was sooo looking forward to the new version of FF and am now miserable. How can Mozilla NOT want to work on this? Are they mad?
I do hope, Shivanand (hope that's the right way round) that you can get this working, because all our lives are the poorer for CT's absence. How will we know you've done it?? Via FB?
November 16, 2017 at 10:13 am #19981Shivanand SharmaKeymasterHere's a screenshot and a quick video demo. Please do report feedback and bugs.

They can fix it if they wanted too as most my other add-ons work with the new 64 bit quantum...I wonder why they don`t fix it. It is a great program...
November 17, 2017 at 8:57 am #19990sukki000ParticipantShivanand, thanks for responding. I watched the video, too. But when I click on the star and see my tabs in color, there doesn't seem to be any way to scroll. Only the ones that fit inside that box are visible. If I click on the star again, the box disappears. And so on. I appreciate what you're doing, and hope that FF will see the light and make your wonderful program available again.
November 17, 2017 at 7:15 pm #19995Patrick KernParticipantMaybe you can look what VivaldiFox [1] does?
