@Patrick Thanks, but I didn't like it.
November 18, 2017 at 1:15 am #20001Walter PetersonParticipantManually installed the web extension as suggested for FF 57. Not exactly working as before. Color of tab only shows when selecting that tab. Color bleeds onto whole icon bar.

It seems to clash with Persona as well. Thanks Shivanand for all your efforts, I can see it is only a question of time before you get it back on top.
November 18, 2017 at 2:15 am #20007Jayne EParticipantMe too. Have used and loved colorful tabs for years. Seems I'm able to download some version that's supposed to work with the FF update but it doesn't do anything.PLEASE make it work again!!!
November 18, 2017 at 10:16 pm #20012Steve ShankerParticipantShivanand,
Just logged on and there was an automatic update of our favorite extension.
The tabs are working better than yesterday in that they are now colored, the downside is my theme is gone. If turn on the theme then go to a new page, same thing...get the tab and header info on, theme off. Not sure if you can fix, but just reporting as I see it. Also, is there any preferences as there used to be?
Thanks...great work...
SteveNovember 19, 2017 at 1:59 am #20022John BlackParticipantHi Shivanand, I have the FF update, but where do I find the Options?
November 19, 2017 at 8:28 am #20024Joed DaleParticipantIt's far to slow to scroll through the tabs now, to slow to use. And every time you click the start that tabs go to the end instead of showing the tab you are on.
Sorry but I won't be use this version of colourful tabs.

November 19, 2017 at 9:25 am #20026Arthur BickelParticipantWhen I installed Quantum, All my tabs were black, despite trying to enable some of the themes. Also the window handles disappeared, and the Firefox window couldn't be resized. All of this returned to normal once I removed Colorful Tabs.
My system is Windows 10 with an NVidia graphics card (GTX 750 Ti). I have another Windows 10 machine with conventional graphics, and that machine seems to work OK with Colorful Tabs, so I suspect an interaction with the Nvidia driver.
I really hope that this issue can be fixed, because Colorful Tabs is such a great addon.
More details available on request.
November 19, 2017 at 4:16 pm #20028Shivanand SharmaKeymaster@sukki: Just use the mouse wheel when your mouse pointer is over the tab-strip.
November 19, 2017 at 4:18 pm #20029Shivanand SharmaKeymaster@John: It's a re-built of ColorfulTabs from scratch. Basic functionality only. Options etc. coming soon.
November 19, 2017 at 4:18 pm #20030Shivanand SharmaKeymaster@Steve: Will fix this in the next update. Thanks for reporting.
November 19, 2017 at 4:20 pm #20031Shivanand SharmaKeymaster@Jayne: ColorfulTabs wouldn't work at all until this Firefox bug is fixed: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1320585
I'm lucky we got it to work at all. Currently we can only color the current tab. Thanks to Patrick for coming up with an innovative idea.

November 19, 2017 at 4:22 pm #20032Shivanand SharmaKeymaster@Walter: It a Firefox bug (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1320585). We are just trying workarounds at the moment.
November 19, 2017 at 6:42 pm #20040Tim JohnsonParticipantHi Shivanand, I am new to ColorfulTabs. I was a long time user of TabMixPlus until FF 57 caused that functionality to be lost, at least for now. I was looking for an add-on that would allow me to provide a different color to the selected tab, and perhaps different colors to tabs that have been selected and those that have still to be selected. That brought me to ColorfulTabs.
From what I've read here, the only functionality at this point with FF 57 is that the selected tab is lighter than the other tabs. I'm using the colorfun rainbow theme. If it helps, I'm running Windows 10 with the latest updates and the Intel HD Graphics 4400 display adapter.
By the way, perhaps I missed it, but I couldn't find a description in the ColorfulTabs documentation that told how to manually install this add-on for FF 57. Fortunately, I knew how to do this, but there may be many who only know to click the Install button, and think that is the manual installation procedure.
Thanks,
TimNovember 19, 2017 at 11:35 pm #20045sukki000Participant@shivanand Yes, the mouse wheel allows me to scroll. But there's no option to change colors, right? At least not on my screen in Chrome.
