On my Mac / Yosemite system, the tabs display "squared" regardless of the "roundness" setting in Colorful Tabs. There is also a rounded gray tab behind the colored one. I've attached a screenshot. Note that this does not occur on my Windows 8.1 system.
Note that the image is shown with the Tree Style Tab plugin installed, but the tabs look the same when that plugin is disabled.
