Mixing “Color By Domain” And “Color Only Tabs You Want”?

So I absolutely love this add on, however what I don't understand is when I choose color by domain I have absolutely no say in what colors the domains I haven't pre-specified are. That is to say, while perhaps my gmail tab might show up in red like I wanted, if I open a tab to a website I've never been to before it could be anything from pink to green. I would very much like to mix the "Color only the tabs you want" and "Color by domain", however unless I'm missing something this is impossible.
