I'm going to try that version at my end along with the Theme Restorer (would be wonderful if you provide me a link to it). I'll try to duplicate the issue at my end and see where the problem actually is.
Shivanand SharmaKeymasterJust to be sure I did everything correctly: I clicked on the link in the thread and confirmed "Open with Firefox". I was warned about installing alien software, then proceeded. After a restart, the add-on page shows Colorful Tabs 24.0. Correct?
Unfortunately, there was no effect whatsoever, everything looks as before. Should I rather try and ask the guys of the Theme Restorer add-on? As everyone else here seems to be happy with your version, maybe they have an idea what's going wrong with my setup...
Shivanand SharmaKeymasterCan you pls try the version at http://www.binaryturf.com/topic/problem-with-tab-colors-after-ff-upgrade/page/3/#post-16271 and report your findings?
Shivanand SharmaKeymasterThis one shows it better. There is a thicker line above the search input box which seems to be the tab-stack. And you can see how the tabs appear cut-off, especially the + button.
Shivanand SharmaKeymasterActually, that's what I tried before I asked you. And tried again right now: Nothing changed.
To me it seems that the Tab-Stack part of code receives a wrong Y coordinate for the Window.Top, e. g. the lower edge of the menu or the old position where the tabs used to be before they were set down.
When I switch Colorul Tabs off, one might think that the Tab-Stack still remains on top and the tabs appear strangely cut at their lower edges. I'll attach another screenshot where you can see that.
So this might rather be a problem of Theme Restorer than of your tool.
Shivanand SharmaKeymasterIts unclear to me which is the issue; but, have you tried the Colorful Tabs' Options' Tweaks? One of them is 'Display Tab-Stack below the tabs' and you could also try 'Aggressive Mode'. The css code can be applied based on OS (and FF version), so there must be a difference causing it.
Shivanand SharmaKeymasterUsing Classic Theme Restorer AND Colourful Tabs has a side effect on one of my systems.
On Win7, there is no problem with that setup.
On Linux (at least under KDE 3.5), the Tab-Stack appears on top of the symbol bars, under the menu bar. (I have KDE 4 running on another computer, but haven't dared to switch to FF29 on that machine yet.) See the attached screenshots for a comparison between Theme Restorer ON and OFF.
When I switch off the theme restorer, it is correct, but I would like to have some of the usual back/forward/stop etc. icons, so I prefer using it.
Do you see a solution?
Shivanand SharmaKeymasterV23.8/Lavafox V2 2.2.0 - should the progress bar be like this? And what about white divider - is it another styling issue or not?
Shivanand SharmaKeymaster"do not use Classic Theme Restorer. It has a tab color function that colors tab selected, read, unread, etc, but will not color all the tabs at random or by domain. It conflicts with colorful tabs and the function cannot be turned off."
Uhh. I'm using it with CT and it's just fine! No conflict whatsoever. And with that add on, you can choose whether you want the ugly square tabs or the rounded ones. Although, it only rounds the active one.
Shivanand SharmaKeymasterDo you use Tab Mix Plus? I do. It is set for tab widths of 250 to 500 by default. FF 29 made the tabs very wide. I reduced the lower limit from 250 to 500 to 100 to 100 to 500. It doesn't fix the square tabs, but it fixes the wide tabs. I am using CT 23.5, Windows 8.1 on a PC. BTW, do not use Classic Theme Restorer. It has a tab color function that colors tab selected, read, unread, etc, but will not color all the tabs at random or by domain. It conflicts with colorful tabs and the function cannot be turned off. I restored the Add On Bar with The AddOn Bar (restored) 3.1 and put the tabs below the address/Awesome bar with Tabs on Botton (Australis) 0.3. It looks like we are on our own with regards to how FF 29 looks, at least until the people at Mozilla come to their senses and admit they screwed up. I have been using Pale Moon since Tuesday. Maybe FF will fix this abomination when they drop below 3rd most use browser to 4th or 5th and drop from 17.6% of the browser market to below 15%....
Shivanand SharmaKeymasterYp, that fixed the colored line, thanks for the fix.

Shivanand SharmaKeymasterguniu: That's the way it's supposed to look, except for the bottom thick line. Attached is a version to fix that issue.
Shivanand SharmaKeymasterThanks for the explanation about the rounded tabs! It is not a big deal, I will just sit tight and await future updates. Love the add-on! Thank you!
