KeymasterCan you please mention your OS and the theme you are using? Can you try it in a new firefox profile and share the screenshot? Thanks.

Keymaster23.4 is still broken - see that line in the jpg attached?

KeymasterFirst, many thanks for this add-on! I've been using it for years, for the 'color-by-domain' and 'dim non-active tabs' functions. I've also been using FF29 since it went to beta in March. It broke Classic Compact, which I've also used for years; but found an even better way to slim things down: the Australis Slimmr [sic] add-on, which slims and auto-hides the address/icon bar, along with some custom user.css hacks for the tab bar height and address/link font sizes.
I have not had any issues like the others reported. I'm using Win7 (and also tried in XP) without any FF theme btw. However, after the CT 23.2 update today, I was disappointed in its change.
I loved how in FF29 with CT 22.9, the active tab used the new FF-style highlighting (see attachment - note it drops below the tabs due to my user.css hacks); this made is -so- much easier to find my active tab, versus the CT style. Would it be possible to have an option to select the new FF active tab highlighting, vs CT23.2's default?
On a side note, it seems the CT option 'Highlight the currently selected tab' doesn't do anything, unless its setup-specific. Perhaps using the new FF highlight method could take over that option? 🙂 [and while I'm here...'Aggressive Mode' is missing a 'g' in the Tweaks options]Thanks again!

KeymasterUnder Win 8.1 they look broken too since FF29. Update to 23.2 made it even worse (see attached screenshot)

Keymasterthe problem is that firefox 29.0 has changed size and shape of tabs

KeymasterYes. This is a bug.

KeymasterHi,
Thanks for the prompt response.I have 2 other add-ons that impact the Tab/Bar: TabMixPlus and Tree-StyleTabs (which arguably styles the Tab·BAR as opposed to the tabs themselves).
I tried turning off ALL tab-styling components on TabMixPlus but it made no difference (that I colud see) to ColorfulTabs' operation. I also tried DISABLING TabMixPlus with the same result. So am wondering what else might be going on? Please advise

KeymasterColorfulTabs works fine as long as there arn't any other addons struggling to style the tabs.
Yes, fixed color is not available with aggressive mode and that's a technical limitation at the moment.

KeymasterMaybe there is another setting in Tab Mix Plus you need to change or maybe it's another extension that ColorfulTabs is conflicting with.
To check if Tab Mix Plus is still causing the problem you can just disable it and restart Firefox. If that doesn't solve the problem you need to check the other extensions. If it does solve the problem you just have to find out which setting is causing it.
To check extensions I usually disable two or three extensions at a time (and restart Firefox) and see if that solves the problem. If it does I re-enable one at a time (and restart Firefox) until the problem recurs.

KeymasterYeah, that's what I did. Actually, after I did that and restarted Firefox, the labels on the tabs wouldn't show up either. I'll just have to deal for now, I guess...

KeymasterThat can be a lot of work! That's why I use the extension "Session Manager" to restore my sessions. Works perfect for me.
I don't have to restart Firefox to see if it works. With me it works instantly. If I check the box and save the change, the tabs immediately become coloured. If I uncheck it and save the change they immediately become off-white again.
Maybe you changed another setting? I uploaded a screenshot and marked the places where you need to go to make the change. Maybe that's easier to understand than my translation...

KeymasterI followed your advice, closed Firefox to see if it worked and when I tried to "Restore Last Session" nothing happened and I ended up losing all my tabs that I had open previously. Now I have to find all my tabs in my history and re-open them. Tedious. :/
